Akwaaba Kofi! is a spin off of the video book, A Prayer for This Day, from content creator Wednesday Boateng. It is an engaging, rhythmic story aimed at presenting Ghanaian culture with a focus on language.  Kofi is an energetic and confident kid with Ghanaian heritage who shares his adventures and discoveries. This book teaches common conversational Twi phrases in order to build vocabulary and introduce little Kofi. Whether Akwaaba Kofi! is your first encounter with the culture and language of Ghana or an extension of an already existing interest and connection it is a must have complement to building a choice book collection. Wednesday Boateng is a New Orleans native with Ghanaian heritage. Expressing a love for music as a singer/songwriter, she recorded an inspirational cd titled You Gotta Start Somewhere, and a cd of bedtime songs entitled A Loving Place. Inspired by her love for parenting, she wrote and created a music video for a Christmas lullaby, Baby of Love. Flowing in her passion for literacy and representation, she co-authored a children’s book, C is for Cowgirl. During her college years at Howard University and as an employee, Wednesday served in leadership roles and received various awards and recognitions for her contributions. She is a wife and mother of four.
